Cupping is a method used in Chinese Medicine to decrease muscular tension and pain. Cupping is like the opposite of massage in that suction is used to pull instead of push the muscles in order to increase circulation. Often, muscles are just doing their job, protecting us from poor posture or trying to support compromised joints. Cupping can help muscles unwind and release. Many people enjoy cupping and respond very well.
With patients experiencing pain, Julie includes education on proper posture and alignment of joints and balancing of the muscular skeletal system. This empowers her clients to use their bodies in a way that decreases pain and therefore increases quality of life!
